Machine Safeguarding Campaign:
Atlantic Charter's Safety and Health Department
has launched a 2010 Machine Safeguarding Campaign.
The primary goal of the campaign is to assist our
clients with reducing the potential for machine-related
injuries in their facility's operations. Our Safety
& Health Consultants are conducting machine guarding
assessments at client locations and making recommendations
to assist in the prevention of hand/finger amputations
and other injuries. They are also reviewing lockout/tagout
programs to assist clients with OSHA compliance and
providing them with sample written programs when needed.
As part of this campaign, the Safety and Health
Department published a Machine Safety Special Edition
of its newsletter that can be viewed at www.atlanticcharter.com/Spring2010.pdf.
It will also be hosting a machine safety seminar
on May 20, 2010 at the Newton Marriott. Invitations
were emailed to client contacts on or during the week
of April 12th.
